Inside 5àsec Marathahalli — Bengaluru's French garment-care hub

A week after opening, the 5àsec Marathahalli outlet on Varthur Main Road, Brookefield has settled into its rhythm as the first node of 5àsec's India network — a full production hub rather than a simple drop-off counter.

Every garment that comes in is checked and ticketed at the counter, inspected for stains and fabric type, and matched to the right process: the solvent is chosen for the fabric, spotting is done by hand before cleaning, and pieces are finished and pressed on vacuum tables so they leave the way the French process intends.

Beyond everyday dry-cleaning and laundry, the hub takes on the work most neighbourhood cleaners turn away — leather and suede, shoes, handbags, curtains, carpets and other home textiles — handled by trained staff with the same inspect-first discipline.

As a hub in 5àsec's hub-and-spoke model, Marathahalli is built to serve a wide east-Bengaluru catchment: customers can walk in, or book a free pickup and delivery from home, and track the order through the 5àsec app. Smaller neighbourhood units and pickup points will feed work back to this hub as the network grows.
